Making Effective Notes

Strategy 1

1. When you highlight/copy specific parts of the text, take a note of specific pages next to the relevant parts of your notes.

2. Summarise what you have understood from the text. This will aid your understanding and help when you come back to your notes at a later date.

3. Include your own thoughts and questions about the text. You could also include this in the summary of your notes.
